You talk, it logs
A sentence, a photo of the plate, this morning’s weight. The coach turns it into entries, and the sums are done on the server, not guessed by the model.
An AI-first log for training and food. Tell the coach what you ate or lifted and it does the logging, the arithmetic and the weekly correction — or connect Claude or ChatGPT and let it work in the same log.
Logging is the chore that ends most diets, so Macroshark is built for an AI to do it. Every screen runs on an API, and the API is written up for a model to read. You say what you ate, lifted or weighed; an agent — ours or yours — writes it into the log and tells you what it did.
A sentence, a photo of the plate, this morning’s weight. The coach turns it into entries, and the sums are done on the server, not guessed by the model.
The app has no back door: every screen calls the same endpoints an agent calls, described in one skill file the model reads before it starts. What you can log by tapping, an agent can log by being asked.
Claude, ChatGPT or an agent of your own connects to the same log by signing in. Our coach is one agent among them, not a wall around your data.
The coach lists every change under its reply, and Claude and ChatGPT show each call they make. Every entry is still a row in the app you can open, fix or delete.
Training and food in one log for one person, with the arithmetic done on the server rather than guessed at.
Sessions built from your own programs — sets of reps × kilograms — and a library of movements you name yourself, with the machine settings and a photo of the peg you forgot last time.
Meals against daily macro targets. Look a plain ingredient up in Fineli, scan a barcode, or photograph a nutrition label and have the numbers read off it.
It plans a session, reviews your last few weeks, and writes to the log when you ask. It remembers what you tell it — when you train, what you have to train with, an injury — and you can read and delete every note of it.
No forbidden foods and no plan to buy: eat to a calorie target, weigh in every morning, and keep at it. The scale jumps from day to day; the trend over weeks does not lie, and it works the same for anybody who sticks with it.
Every meal, and your weight each morning. A photo of the plate, a barcode or one line to the coach makes it quick, and the day’s totals are worked out for you.
Not perfect — near. Today shows what is left of the day’s calories and protein, so the next meal is a decision rather than a guess. A day over is one day; the week is what counts.
Each week the coach sets your diary against the scale, measures what you really burn, and proposes a new calorie target you accept with one press — with the one thing to work on next, in the kitchen or in the gym.
The check-in needs two weeks of logging and weigh-ins before it measures anything. From then on your target comes from your own numbers, not a formula — the patience is the method.
A chat on every page, answered by Macroshark’s own model. Write what you ate or send a photo of the plate, ask for a program, type in this morning’s weight: it does the work in your log and lists every step under its reply, so a wrong entry is caught where it happened.
Logs a meal from a sentence or a photo of the plate, weighing each food by eye and finding it in your library or in Fineli. Copies yesterday’s breakfast, fixes a portion, deletes what was wrong, and saves a recipe you make often.
Writes a program with you a movement group at a time, or lays out a ready-made split on the equipment you have. Swaps a lift, changes a rep range, drafts your next session with loads from last time, and tells you how a lift has been going.
Takes this morning’s weight and your tape measurements, sets your daily calories and macros, and reviews your last weeks from the numbers. Every week it checks your weight against what you ate and moves your calories with it.
When you train, what you train with, an injury, what you will not eat: it writes it down and reads it before it answers. You can read and delete every note, and it forgets when you ask.
The coach and Use with AI are part of Macroshark Pro, and every new account starts with a month of it free. Everything else in the app is free.
Macroshark is an API for agents as well as an app for people. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or an agent of your own, and it reads and writes your log through the same endpoints the app runs on — so a session can be logged from the chat you already have open.
https://macroshark.app/mcpThis is the whole setup to copy. Use with AI shows it again once you are signed in.
In Claude under Settings → Connectors, and Claude’s phone app has it too. In ChatGPT, as a custom connector in developer mode.
It sends you to Macroshark to approve it, then reads the manual on its own — every endpoint and field, and the mistakes that are easy to make.
Coding agents and scripts that can send a header take a key instead: one snippet, made under Use with AI.
Meals, foods and recipes; workouts, cardio and programs, with the next session drafted from your history; goals, morning weight, sleep and measurements; the whole history, and a copy of it all as one file.
It cannot change your password, reach anyone else’s log or make keys of its own. Disconnect it under Use with AI and it is cut off at once.
What an assistant reads goes to whoever runs it, under their terms, so connecting one is your choice. The coach inside Macroshark runs on our own hardware, and on a cloud model in the EU when that is busy.
Four short recordings of the app itself, on a phone — the real thing, on a real log, read aloud and captioned under every step.
Two photos of a package — the front and the nutrition table — and Macroshark’s own vision model reads the name and the macros per 100 g. Check them, save, and log a portion.
Photograph dinner and tell the coach to log it. It picks out each food on the plate, estimates its weight, finds it in your food library, logs the meal, and names every step underneath. Ask how much you can still eat, and what to eat to hit your targets: it answers from your log, with your own foods in amounts that fit.
A session is built from your own program: reps and load arrive from last time with a target for today — tick the set, rest on the timer, swipe to the next group, and it saves as you go.
Today on one screen: this morning’s weight in one tap, calories, sets and volume against the day’s goals, and what was actually lifted.
Macroshark runs in the EU, on our own hardware, and so does the coach’s model — with a cloud model in the EU taking over when it is busy. No cookies, no third-party fonts, no tracking, and nothing you log trains anybody’s model.
Take everything with you as one file whenever you like, and deleting your account deletes what is in it.
